Thomas Johnson Middle School offers two STEM Curriculum, the Project Lead The Way- Gateway and the STEM Integration-1.  The PLTW Gateway is a full year course for 7th and 8th grade students.  The 7th grade students are enrolled in Design and Modeling and the 8th grade students are enrolled in Automation and Robotics.  Specialization courses are integrated in both 7th and 8th grade.  Design and Modeling and Automation and Robotics are mandatory courses.  The specialization courses are Energy and the Environment, Flight and Space, Magic of Electrons and Science of Technology.

The STEM Integration - 1 is a semestral course offered to 6th grade students.  The course includes lessons on Civil Engineering and Computational Thinking.
